Clementine Noordzij

Clementine (Leiden, 1975) is at her best when she can connect people and worlds with each other. With her versatile personality and warm appearance. With humor and with a big heart for people and society. That is why Clementine - who is a lawyer by origin who spent years in Groningen for her education - fits the Coebergh team so well. Like her grandfather used to say: 'Fortiter in re, suaviter in modo': powerful, with principles and clear in the matter, gentle in the manner. An office manager that stands out.

Clementine is just as versatile in her activities besides her work at Coebergh. She is a jazz & soul singer and gives trainings. In her free time she can be found in nature, on a yoga mat and with family and friends.

Gervaise Coebergh

Being a child of the great international harbor city of Rotterdam, Gervaise (Rotterdam, 1966) is a born entrepreneur, graduated in Leiden as a historian while also obtaining her Bachelor degree in art history. In spite of this, the road of entrepreneurship was not an obvious one for her; perhaps because she was trained as a professional dancer at the dance academy of Rotterdam as a teenager. The aim for the perfect balance characterizes her. The search for the ideal mix between creativity and commerce, between home and work, between individual and collective, between independent and engaged, and between words and deeds.

In 1997 she founded Coebergh Communicatie & PR. Together with a strong team she developed the agency into one of the leading players in the Dutch communications industry. Additionally, she is the founder of SpicePR and founding member of VERTOV digital storytelling. Furthermore, she has been investing as an entrepreneur in various other businesses.

Outside of her work she devotes herself a.o. to the members council of Rabobank Amsterdam, is she board member of the Heineken Collection Foundation, Jury Member of the Amsterdam Business Awards and a member of the advisory council of TEDxAmsterdamWomen. In 2011 Gervaise won the Porsche People's Choice Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and in 2013, 2015 and 2016 she was named one of the 100 most successful business women of the Netherlands and was selected as one of the 50 most inspiring business women of the Netherlands.

Kiki Hirschfeldt

Kiki (Hilversum, 1979) is partner and operational director at Coebergh. Strict but warm and righteous - and above all the life of the party! Years of experience in the field of strategic communication and PR make her seasoned expert. And a social connector. Kiki meets the expectations and wishes of clients in both the b2b and b2c-segment. Besides her focus for the strategic aspects of any engagement she never looses sight of the practical side. Because moving from desire to action requires feasible and applicable solutions not wishful thinking alone.

Kiki studied communication sciences at the University of Amsterdam, after which she quickly built a career at Coebergh. In 2008 she joined the board and in 2015 she became a partner. “Why I’ve been at Coebergh for this long? Easy! I don’t know any other company where they work this efficient and effective, at the same time laugh together so much.” Next to her work Kiki is trained as a mediator and is registered at the Dutch Mediation Institute. Her profound social commitment is shown through the establishment of the foundation Sinterklaas Bestaat in 2005. This foundation commits itself to providing great Sinterklaas parties for less fortunate children.

Wadie El Fakhari

Born (1989) and raised in Leiden. Moved to Rotterdam and studied Communications at the Hogeschool van Rotterdam. Wadie completed internships at several agencies and started his career at FUSE Communication. He is a real ‘connector’ who loves his job, particularly the combination of PR, networking and fashion. When Coebergh took over FUSE’s fashion portfolio at the end of 2017, Wadie followed.

He is responsible for brands and designers such as Dorhout Mees, GANT, Jutka & Riska and Zyanya Keizer and - together with his colleague Milou - for Coebergh’s showroom. He now and then works as a stylist for magazines, red carpet moments and online platforms, making him an expert on both sides of the PR specter. In his scarce spare time, you can find him at the gym.

ACTIVITIES

Mens agitat Molem – Mind moves matter, as Virgil said. We are dedicated to score great results for our market leaders, love brands and innovators. We have a hands-on and pragmatic approach in our work, always meet our deadlines, while at the same time excel with a strategic and creative mindset. Yes, we certainly cherish the freedom of being an agency that has deliberately chosen not to join an international group.

BRANDING

The credibility of brands (and a credible brand :-)) is built by creating attention in the right media - and beyond. Our territory, completely. We think along about brand values, brand preference and brand identity with our clients. And we transform all these thoughts into deeds as well. Through clever online and offline pr activities. Together with influencers, opinion leaders, journalists and other relevant stakeholders. By the use of video, blogs, vlogs and old school columns in print media. By creating catching content for the brand’s own channels. By organizing events… Yes, by using the entire palette of communication possibilities.

Connecting

PR is more than press relations. Influential entrepreneurs, politicians, directors, cultural leaders and others are a part of our network. And with this extended network we can connect our business relations. Needless to say these connections are made, based on well-thought out strategies. We not only introduce people to each other, but also consider - for example - having someone as a keynote speaker or suggest an award nomination. Additionally, we gladly connect our clients with skilled creatives and other brilliant suppliers since it’s in our interest that they only work with the best!

Consultancy

“If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said: faster horses”, said Henry Ford a century ago about his revolutionary T-Ford. We follow this boldness when we can. We execute tested concepts and activities when a client wants certainty. However when the client is open to a ‘no guts no glory-approach’ then we are the right choice as well. Even better. Room for innovation regularly leads to spectacular, even award winning results. In some cases we are solely involved as a strategic think tank during a project, but we have a strong preference to also be the ones responsible for the execution.

Content Marketing

In addition to online and offline storytelling, we do story research and content creation. Because only when the story is unique and relevant – fitting with the brand values, positioning and other strategic outsets – can one actively make contact with the public. Whether this is via a blog, opinion letters, articles, speeches or other formats. This all fits into the growing need of organizations for content marketing - content for both owned media and earned media. Often we advise about paid media too; for instance branded journalism, native advertising and other blends of paid and earned media.

Crisis PR

As we now live in an era where the abundance and dynamics of communication are unprecedented, a time where each person or organization can be a medium, it is important to realize that the reputation of any significant brand, organization or personality can be in shambles in no time. The public performs as advocate and judge at the same time, offering arguments and judgments within seconds after events take place. Thorough analysis and nuance are not necessarily provided. When things go wrong for an organization or person, it helps when there is support available knowing how to deal with the sometimes overwhelming attention of the media, online and offline. Coebergh PR has been called upon for these kinds of moments of truth by many organizations since the foundation of our agency. We have been dealing with crises that o.a. had to do with an outbreak of salmonella in a recreation center, a crashed roof of a retail outlet, an accident in a swimming pool of a hotel, complaints on the use of chemicals in a factory, allegations of fraud and the closing of a plant. Our experts in issue management en crisis-PR have in-depth experience and expertise on what it takes to manage a crisis and how communication can contribute towards solutions that benefit all stakeholders. This includes communicating with employees, unions, consumers, authorities, politicians and, of course, the media.

Digital Storytelling

Two great forces that strengthen each other: the age-old power of a story and the recent power of the digital era, together create opportunities to view and share stories at any place and any time. New possibilities have risen to reach audiences with relevant messages, and to engage with them further through online and social media. Our in-house capacities range from creative concepting to writing screenplays and actual content production or digital realisation with bold, innovative and moving stories that seamlessly connect with PR and social media activities. Our intense collaboration with sister agency VERTOV delivers convincing results, reaching millions of people and winning renowned prizes around the globe.

Events & Guestlist Service

Sometimes the target group is approached best with an event. For example a striking store opening or a newsworthy product launch. We have a lot of experience in concepting and executing events. Crucial part of its success is the guest list. Since, if the right crowd is not part of the event, the effort is useless. We are known for our extensive network, our abundant database and our critical look when it comes to making a meaningful guest list.

Interim

We do support clients with a temporary employee(s) on location. For strategic and executing level. Immediately when needed. Another way to help you out if needed!

Media Relations

An important aspect of our work consists of building and maintaining a good and steady relationship with relevant media and press contacts. We can only do so when we know exactly what we are talking and writing about. Not simply putting an item on the agenda, but placing it in the right context as well. In certain cases we conduct thorough research before communicating about it. In our view, good PR professionals are well informed and broadly interested.

Mediatraining & Coaching

Coebergh trains and coaches executives and others whose communication performance and skills are important for their jobs. Knowing the rules of the game, and knowing where potential traps are when giving an interview or in other contact with the press, reassures someone and gives him or her more confidence during the conversation. This inner reassurance usually has a very favorable effect on the encounter and its outcome.

RED CARPET DRESSING

Young talented designers. They feel at home at Coebergh. Established fashion designers with an unmatched drive to create as well. From Edwin Oudshoorn to Achmed Oso. From NATAN to Alexandra Frida. And Coebergh gladly rolls out the red carpet for them. Literally. We connect designers and their work to suiting personalities that are found on the red carpet frequently, or in the spotlight elsewhere. That also requires a tailor made approach. And this usually results in great coverage. Because of the match made combinations. Or as we like to call it: win-win.

SEEDING

Sometimes a story could use a boost. A push into the right direction. Buying influencial attention on social media, or seeding as it is also called, has become an integrated part of our work. Daily routine. And if offers limitless opportunities. From viral video content to a message hitting the exact right target audience. Needed: long lasting experience in new media – even though that may sound like a paradox. Knowing who is influential and most suited for what brand. And under what conditions. Ticking exactly that one domino brick that makes the other rows move. Perfectly executed.

Showroom

For our fashion and lifestyle clients our showroom, located in the heart of Amsterdam, is the physical starting point of their work. Here, stylists, journalists and bloggers have a front row view on the collections all year round. Twice a year we organize an Open Day – during which we revamp the showroom completely into the “mood of the season” – this means relevant media relations can meet the new season’s collections in an efficient and inspiring way. Our showroom items can be used for editorial productions in the media, but also for ‘red carpet’ moments of celebs.

Social Media

Our communication strategies are strongly focused on effective use of social media. We don’t view social as a separate ‘channel’, but rather as an integral part of our communication approach. For strategy, planning, management and execution: social is front-center of our attention, nog just a sideline. The reach and impact of social media can be tremendous, just as the work load in managing it all. That is why we team up regularly with our sister agency VERTOV, specialized in digital storytelling and social media, and conveniently located in the same building. For various clients we work with them on effective social media strategies and activation campaigns, and integrate them with all aspects of our communication strategy. A thorough approach that favors collaboration and sharing of knowledge, combined with creative content. Resulting in great buzz, expanding follower-base and positive conversations on all social channels!

STRATEGY

At Coebergh everything is about results. Results make us thick. The effect of our effort should be clearly visible and measurable. Our clients expect this, and we demand it for ourselves. And it is crucial to think before you act. Without a strategy no results. And yes, gut feeling is important as well. What choices fit the brand, fit the organization? What opportunities are there, that are yet unnoticed? What issues? Thinking along but also counterbalancing, creating context analyzes, visualizing stakeholders, daring to ask critical questions, determining timing… and then taking action. We do this well, frequently, extremely efficient and always with pleasure.

BENELUX

For many years now, we have been working closely together with the Antwerp-based agency PR Style on projects in the Benelux. Side by side, as colleagues, serving clients such as Louis Vuitton, the Elbphilharmonie of Munich, Jarre Technologies and Accor Hotels worldwide. Our collaboration is based on trust, shared core values and a mutual vision on our profession. There is only one type of quality that we both pursue: the best. A great benefit for our clients.

WHAT OTHERS SAY

We know and live the power of endorsements. We invited several of our business relations to speak from their heart on what we do:
