PR is more than 'only' working with the media. Direct interaction with potential business partners, important politicians and critical consumers is also part of our profession. For example we do play an important role in terms of networking; by arranging invitations for important events and by pitching our clients as key note speakers at significant conferences and meetings. We also bring prestigious Awards, which can be relevant for our relations under their attention. Winning such an Award can be a mayor contribution to the authority of a person, product or organization.
Begin with the end in mind. Stephen R. Covey
Below some examples of networking meetings initiated by Coebergh, that resulted in productive partnerships and fruitful cooperations.
The Real Life Social Media Event
Y-Community is a private network event where leading internet professionals, techies, bloggers, journalists and other online trendsetters meet each other offline. Every edition has three inspiring lectures by prominent guest speakers from the digital world, including blog pioneer Tonie van Ringelestijn, journalist Karlijn Visser, columnist Bert Brussen, Hyves manager Yme Bosma, investor Hubert Deitmers and internet lawyer Christiaan Alberdingk Thijm. At the end dj’s as Missing Links and Claire & Sheila Hill provide the music. Locations are venues like CitizenM, Supperclub and Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam. The latest edition of Y-Community was held in conceptstore Mood over Market and its theme was the huge influence the internet has had on fashion. Speakers were Peter Stigter, Suzette van Dam, James Veenhoff and Thijs Goos. Y-Community has been featured in media as NL20 and Het Parool.

Salon Des Dames
An initiative of Gervaise Coebergh where an interesting mix of leading female figures in business, culture, politics and science can inspire each other in an informal way. The select group – by invation only – meets each other three to four times a year, alternately in Amsterdam, Den Haag and Rotterdam. Usual locations are hotel Sofitel The Grand Amsterdam, Marriott Hotel Amsterdam and Hotel Des Indes. Veuve Clicquot supports this initiative with her champagne.
Coebergh Circle
For clients, by clients, at clients. Informally one of the attending guests tells about an interesting business case or other relevant topic. The last couple of years serial entrepreneur Jacob Gelt Dekker, Mercedes-Benz marketing manager Peter Zijlstra, Dutch Fashion Foundation director Angelique Westerhof and Lucas Bols CEO Huib van Doorne among others recounted about their vision, ambitions and way of work.
